Unfortunately, the days and weeks that lie ahead of us will still be covered in covid-19 dust which does put a hold on a lot of activities for many people. All hope is never lost, though you may be bored of the simple games, toys, or puzzles that you broke out during quarantine there is still time to pick up a new hobby. I know what you are thinking, “knitting again really” no not at all! While there is nothing wrong with knitting, making jewelry, or even building Legos I am proposing another hobby, "RC Cars”.
Now hold on do not leave just yet, I mean “Radio controlled Cars” and not the kind you remember that take a handful of AA batteries on the bottom. I am talking about the real deal, a R/C car that you can upgrade, adjust settings, and customize to your own look and style. Why might this be good for you? I believe that if you found this article you like making things. Furthermore, you may even like building things from scratch and having something you can use or wear at the end of your build. These two reasons alone are why you should take an interest into R/C. I do have an early suggestion should you choose to browse the hobby after reading this, take a look at the 1/10th scale cars. This suggestion does come from my personal experience, I believe that you get more options and versatility out of a 1/10th scale RC car.
The verity of RC’s available to you are amazing. You can choose a car or truck, maybe even a motorcycle or boat. If that is not your speed, they even have RC’s for construction yard activities. Having an exciting hobby such as RC can really help keep your mind occupied and kids busy creating something that when finished can be enjoyed by the whole family. Not to mention if there is anyone in your household that is interested in cars already, this is a great hobby to move into. R/C cars are much more affordable hobby than real cars and you can build them at the kitchen table.
My goal here today was not to make you drop your current hobbies and run to the nearest hobby store but instead, to inform you of a fun and exciting hobby that is often overlooked. If you find yourself interested in trying the hobby and you are in the Las Vegas area, check out www.jtoyautoworks.com. It is an easy way to try the hobby in your backyard or local park. They can provide up to six on-road cars and a track for your entertainment. I hope that you have found this information helpful in choosing a hobby to dive into.
I would love to hear if you tried R/C before, are just starting out, or maybe you decided to dust off the old car for one more run!
